O.k. This all started on friday when I was at cross country practice. We ran a mile (we had to take it easy because we had a meet the next day). Well, the juniors and seniors made a tradition where instead of taking the route the coach said on that day, we took a different, wacky route. We ran through a car wash, past a strip mall, behind an electric transformer, etc. My heel/ankle was hurting before this run btw. So, saturday comes and my heel/ankle started hurting before we had our meet. So I was walking it off. When the meet started, I started running, and there was a little pain, but after a minute or two, i didn't feel it anymore, possibly because of the competition. Sunday came and my heel/ankle hurt just walking on it. So i was limping around the house. My dad thought it was because of my running shoes because I got them right after I did my first marathon (may 16th) and I've been running in them ever since. So I got new shoes and I just wore flip flops around the house. That night I iced my heel/ankle. Today, I woke up and my heel/ankle hurt a little when walking on it, but not much. I have to go for a 13 mile run today since i didn't do it on saturday or sunday, so I tried running, but I couldn't even run for a quater of a block because it was hurting. The pain is kind of hard to describe. It isn't a blister which my dad keeps thinking it is because the pain is on the inside. That bone that's in the back of your foot, the one that goes up your foot, when I press on it lightly, it hurts. The pain is mostly in there, maybe a little to the right. It hurts even just sitting here. but anyway, it's in my right foot. My dad also thinks it's because I roll my socks down. My sock goes above my shoe a little so i just fold it down so it's not visible. I would go to a chiropractor, but they're not open on labor day. I'm asking this on here because I'm wondering if anyone has past experience about this. Should I just push past the pain like I did on saturday and keep on running? I also have cross country practice tomorrow so what should I do? Please help and happy holidays.
